Hi! I'm Graham, I'm one of oppo's resident funny-sounding furriners from the Great White North™. I got authorship a few months back, thanks to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but I've been putting off doing an intro thread, but no longer!

I'm from a little town of around 4000 people on Vancouver Island, BC. Local weather: 5 months sunshine, 5 months rain, 2 months snow and ice. I went to the University of Victoria to get a degree in Electrical Engineering, did 2 years, and then dropped out. Please, don't ask me for help with calculus. Circuit design, drafting, prototyping yes, calculus no. I'm now in my third year of running a large raspberry farm for a local company with several farms on the island and on the mainland.

My dream cars include a 240Z, a BMW 850CSi, Triumph TR7, and a Morgan Aero Coupe. Currently I'm driving a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Daytona Blue Metallic, imported from the US so all the dashboard indicators are in "Miles per Hour" and "Miles per Gallon" and "Fahrenheit." Crazy, eh?!?

Previously, I drove a 1990 Toyota Celica GT (automatic) with some funky electrical problems. I also crashed said Celica sideways through a very solid fence at 140km/h three days after I bought it... not one of my prouder moments. However, I did learn quite a bit about how do do bodywork putting her back together.

Before that, my first car was a 1984 Toyota Tercel station wagon, with 400,000 kilometres on it. Prior to it being given to me, it had sat in the bush for about seven years. I dragged it out with a tractor, threw in a battery, changed the oil, put in a new thermostat, and I think maybe changed the alternator belt. Let me tell you, I was NOT the envy of my high school.

My job allows me to drive a fair amount of exotic equipment, ranging from self propelled raspberry harvesters, grain combines, semi trailers, dump trucks, a 37 ton bulldozer, excavators, tractors, Yanmar T80 track machines... the list goes on.

This baby can pick up to 15,000 pounds of raspberries a day, and also has the distinction of being a non-symetrical 3-wheeled vehicle! That is, it has two wheels on one side and only one in the middle of the other side! Oxbo Korvan 9000:

D8N, weighs in at around 74,000 pounds w/ blade. Blade's off right now because it's too wide to take on the highway. It has to be loaded by crane sideways onto it's own truck.

C) Nope, Black creek! Duncan is huge compared to us, we've got a gas station, a farm & feed, a post office, some resorts on the beach that are only open in the summer, and that's about it. We are a town without a single traffic light!

Nice. I have not quite been as afar as Black Creek. The furthest I've made it up the Island Highway is Mt. Washington. When we went there we stayed in Courtenay.

Yes, my 240z but she's a project. She's just a little careworn haha. But she'll run some day! Got it driven out from Ontario a couple years back, it just sits in a cold little garage right now. I'm currently out in Edmonton.

Oh man I know....Every night before I go to sleep, I do a special dance and pray to the car gods for some serious depreciation haha. In the meantime i'll just continue to stare at other peoples 370z's and dream. Gotta say your 350 looks nice though, like that color a lot.
